About us

Transition Exmouth aims to use our platform to network with, signpost, and highlight the groups in Exmouth and the surrounding areas doing amazing environmental things for people, wildlife, our local community, and the planet.

What we do

Transition Exmouth organises its own events and helps facilitate the activities of other groups. We hold regular in-person drop-in sessions at the Community Hub at SideShore and assist other groups with insurance, publicity, and volunteers for their events.

Recent projects

One of our recent projects is Friends of the River Exe (FORE), established in 2023. Transition Exmouth is the lead partner in this initiative, collaborating with Sustainable Tiverton and Transition Exeter to advocate for the River Exe and its tributaries.

Transition Exmouth’s successes

We proud of our ongoing partnerships with local community groups in Exmouth, such as FORE, Exmouth’s Library of Things, and SideShore, our continuous collaboration with Exmouth Town Council and our successful partnerships in multiple events, including Active Travel Day. Another success is the purchase and management of an eCargo bike available for hire through the ExeCargo project.

Future plans

Transition Exmouth plans to enhance and utilise the events calendar on our website and social media channels to promote local community group events and share inspiring good news stories from local, national, and global perspectives.
