Honiton Repair Café
About us
Honiton Repair Café takes place on the third Saturday of every month at Community Use Building on School Lane, Honiton (what3words -lovely.tight.update). It is part of a thriving repair café network in Devon. The concept is simple: bring your broken item, grab a slice of cake, and let local volunteers help you fix it—keeping valuable items out of landfill and sharing skills at the same time.
Run monthly, the café offers help with repairing electrical and mechanical items, occasional bicycles, and anything that needs a stitch or two.
With each session, the list of saved-from-landfill items grows, and so does the sense of community. Volunteers share tools, time, and laughter, and there’s always plenty of homemade cake and sharing fixing knowledge and skills to go around. The café is always happy to welcome new volunteer repairers to their community group.
Honiton Repair Café welcomes everyone. Whether you’ve got a broken toaster, a tear in your favourite jeans, or just fancy a slice of cake and to watch the repairs and pick up some repair tips, come along and see what can be mended.
