Axminster Repair Cafe’s skilled group of enthusiastic volunteer repairers gather at The Guildhall on the 1st Saturday of each month.

Handling a variety of items between 10am and 1pm the team aim to successfully repair as many items as possible, and really enjoy making that happen.

People can bring along a variety of personal and household items to see if they can be made usable again – rather than just be thrown away.

Frequently seen by the team for possible repair are china and glass ornaments, household goods, domestic indoor and outdoor electrical products, clothing and fabrics for skilled sewing repairs, children’s toys as well as some unusual items, occasionally defying description.

While waiting to see a repairer, or for their items to be dealt with, visitors are welcome to treat themselves to a choice of hot or cold drinks, homemade cakes and pastries, biscuits and bacon rolls provided by the Guildhall volunteers.
