Buckfastleigh Repair Cafe
About Us
Buckfastleigh Repair Café takes place on the 3rd Saturday of every month, from 10am to 12:30pm. Bring along your broken items and our team of skilled volunteers will do their best to mend them. Whether it’s a faulty toaster, a torn jacket, or a wobbly chair – we’re here to help you give your belongings a second life.
Launched in November 2024 with support from Share Shed – A Library of Things and CAG Devon, our Repair Café has been helping the local community reduce waste, save money, and build resilience through repair and reuse.
We’re proudly hosted by the Moor Imagination Collective (MIC) — a Community Interest Company breathing new life into the old Methodist church on Chapel Street. MIC is creating a vibrant hub where creativity, connection, and sustainability thrive. Alongside the Repair Café, MIC also runs the Buckfastleigh Community Fridge, redistributing surplus food from shops, producers, and allotments to help reduce food waste and support those in need.
We’re always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our friendly team. Whether you’re great at greeting guests, serving tea and coffee, sewing, or fixing electricals, your time and skills can make a real difference. Everyone is welcome — together, we can make the Repair Café a success!
