Useful Links
Recycle Devon – a resource for Devon residents to find out about Reducing, Reusing and Recycling. Users can find out detailed information about the collections in their area as well as loads of other useful information to help them Reduce, Reuse and Recycle more effectively.
Working with young people – Recycle Devon have lots of resources to help teach children how to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Compost more of their waste every day.
Running a Clothes Swap/Swish – our friends at Recycle Devon have a great video and lots of top tips for running a great clothes swap event. You can also watch our video from our Clothes Swap Collaborate, highlighting 4 different ways to run a clothes swap.
Library of Things – if you want to borrow instead of buy, save money and resources but still have access to those things you might only need a few times a year, like a carpet cleaner, gazebo, tent or fondue machine, then a library of things is just what you need. The Network of Wellbeing, who manage the fabulous Share Shed, have penned a wonderful How To guide about setting up and sustaining a library of things. Check it out here.
Nature and Biodiversity – over half of our network members are involved in nature and biodiversity activities. There are many resources available in this area. We are signposting to just a few of our friends to get you started:
Devon Wildlife Trust – their CommunityHub pages have a wealth of information and resources to get your local project off the ground.
Tamar Valley National Landscape – their CommunityNatureHub pages are a great starting point when looking at different habitats and community action. Lots of links to national information/campaigns as well, not just in the Tamar Valley.
Devon LNRS (Local Nature Recovery Strategy) – a culmination of 5 years work, a strategy, mapping tool, facts and resources all in one website.
