Growing the CAG team!
We’re thrilled to share some exciting news from the CAG Devon Network. Say hello to the newest addition to our team: Molly Turner, the Project Officer for CAG Devon!
Molly brings a deep-routed passion for the natural world and sustainability. Having grown up in Mid Devon, her love of nature and the environment has been apparent from a young age. This passion has been solidified further through her university studies in BSc Zoology and MSc Conservation Science and Policy, where she developed her knowledge of wider sustainability challenges. Molly is passionate about enabling and empowering people to take positive action for nature, the planet and the climate, and deeply recognises the importance of cohesive, grassroots action to action within communities to achieve this. She has worked with local communities through sustainability initiatives in several capacities since completing her studies.
Through her role with Ambios Ltd, she has helped facilitate and develop the Devon Rewilding Network, a growing network of individuals, local groups and organisations who are dedicated to rewilding and nature recovery across Devon. Some of you may have met her at SkillShare24 where she hosted a table about rewilding during the Climate Café. Molly’s really enjoyed helping to build a valuable, supportive space where people can connect with one another to share knowledge and experiences that motivate and inspire meaningful action. She’s also volunteered as an engagement officer for the marine conservation charity, Plover Rovers, bringing together marine scientists and coastal communities across East Devon, to share knowledge and empower positive action through engagement with local initiatives.
Now she’s excited for her next challenge, helping to support CAG Devon’s mission of promoting sustainability in communities. Her links to Devon through previous roles and in her personal life means she understands the local contexts and communities she will be supporting. Additionally, through living in Uffculme, Molly’s been inspired by the committed work of her local longstanding CAG group, the Uffculme Green Team!
At CAG Devon, our mission has always been to empower community groups to act towards a more sustainable and resilient future. We focus on vital areas such as waste reduction, composting, sharing, re-use, repair, biodiversity, energy and other sustainability initiatives, working together with passionate individuals to create a positive impact on our environment.
We’re delighted that Molly has joined the Team and will be helping to support groups and encouraging more people to get involved in some way to strengthen this network of driven individuals, working together towards a shared vision of a greener future.
