Share Shed – A Library of Things

Set up by the charity Network of Wellbeing, the Share Shed is the world’s first travelling library of things.

Have you ever needed a specific tool for a DIY project, or wished you had access to outdoor gear for an adventurous weekend, only to realise that these items are seldom used and often expensive to buy? That’s where the Share Shed, a travelling library of things that can be found weekly in various locations in South Devon, steps in to redefine how our community accesses everyday items.

What is the Share Shed?

The Share Shed is not just a library; it’s a travelling community hub fostering a culture of sharing, sustainability, and resourcefulness. Since its inception in April 2017, the Share Shed has been a beacon of collaborative living, allowing members to borrow a diverse range of items for a fraction of the cost it would take to buy them.

How Can You Join?

Joining the Share Shed is as easy. Simply visit our website or pop by our van when we’re open. Membership is open to all over 18 years old, making the sharing economy accessible to everyone in the community. By becoming a member, you’re not just accessing items; you’re becoming part of a movement that values sustainability and community spirit.

Why Share?

Sharing isn’t just about access; it’s about reducing waste, saving money, and building a resilient community. When we share, we collectively make a positive impact on our environment and embrace a lifestyle that is both practical and conscious.

Join the Movement

So, if you’re someone who believes in the power of community, sustainability, and sharing, the Share Shed invites you to be a part of this wonderful journey. Whether you need a drill for a DIY job or a tent for a weekend camping trip, we’ve got you covered.
