Volunteers are the bedrock of communities. So much good is done by volunteers, and so much good can come to people by volunteering. It’s not without its challenges though and many CAG Devon groups have reported a drop in volunteer numbers post-covid.
There’s still as much to be done, so how do we find and recruit new volunteers, and support them to be happy and productive with the time that they give? And how do we look after ourselves so that we don’t burnout through taking on too much?
This 90 minute online session will explore some of these issues and come up with practical, effective tips to help support personal wellbeing as a volunteer.
Facilitator: This session will be facilitated by Anja Kroening-Maynard, Community Development Worker, Assessor and Trainer from Teignbridge CVS. Anja has been working for Teignbridge CVS since 2009, starting out as the Volunteer Centre Coordinator.
