Join us at in the Stag Suite at the White Hart Hotel, Moretonhampstead on Thursday 27th March for a FREE community screening of Six Inches of Soil followed by Q&A.
This film follows a year in the lives of three remarkable young British farmers, as they try to change the way they grow food and farm livestock – moving away from industrial monoculture into more “regenerative” approaches. Striving to build successful businesses, they meet diverse experts: chefs, entrepreneurs and biologists, all committed to a more sustainable and healthier system of agriculture than large-scale industrial farming. Through their struggles to produce better food, in a healthier way, this engrossing film shows what it is like to work with the land in this imaginative, hopeful way – and although it’s not easy, the rewards are sometimes remarkable.
The screening will start at 7pm so make sure you arrive in plenty of time to get yourself a drink from the bar before you get seated! After the screening we will have a brief intermission before holding a Q&A with local farmers, growers and advocates.
With huge thanks to the White Hart Hotel and We Are Devon Community Foundation.
