Join CAG Devon and CAG Somerset for a relaxed Q&A session to find out more about the Fixy Project and how your community action group could host a tech drop‑off point as part of a growing network across Devon and Somerset.

Fixy is a South West initiative that collects and refurbishes unwanted smart tech to help cut e‑waste and support people facing digital poverty. Working with Donate IT, the team is setting up 40 new secure drop‑off points across Somerset, Devon, North Somerset and Dorset, making it easier for people to donate laptops, tablets, mobile phones and other smart devices. Every item is securely wiped and refurbished for reuse, or responsibly recycled if it can’t be repaired.

Fixy is now looking for community groups with suitable venues who might be interested in hosting a drop‑off point. In this session, Linda from the Fixy team will talk through what’s involved — from time commitments and venue requirements to equipment and collection logistics. You’ll also have plenty of time to ask any questions you have.
