Ivybridge Repair Café
About us
Ivybridge Repair Café is helping local people save money, learn new skills, and keep items in use for longer.
When former CAG Devon member, Maker’s Mews, was forced to close in 2024, Ivybridge lost a much-loved community space that championed repair, reuse, and practical skills sharing.
To help ensure this valuable work continued, The Share Shed, which operates a mobile Library of Things across the South Hams, approached CAG Devon for support in establishing a new Repair Café for the town.
Together CAG Devon and Share Shed hosted an Open Community Meeting to explore this idea and bring together interested people. The response was positive and thanks to the dedication of a growing team of volunteers, Ivybridge Repair Café launched in February 2025 and now runs monthly at Ivybridge Baptist Church.
Their current focus is on recruiting more volunteers to support the group’s continued growth and sustainability.
Ivybridge Repair Café meets on the 1st Saturday of the month from 10 am – 12:30 pm at Ivybridge Baptist Church.
