Heathfield Farm (Devon Link-Up)
Heathfield Farm supports adults with a learning disability and/or autism to participate in a wide range of purposeful, hands on activities, including growing vegetables, cooking, woodwork and craft projects. These activities teach important life skills, promote independence, foster genuine community connections, and provide a genuine sense of achievement. Heathfield Farm is a place where friendships form, confidence grows, and a strong sense of belonging flourishes. Every individual who comes to the farm benefits from improved mental and physical wellbeing through socialising and spending time outdoors, in an environment where they feel valued, supported, and able to participate at their own pace.
The project to develop Heathfield Farm is being led by the charity Devon Link-Up, and is strongly supported by the National Trust, who own the farm. Situated on the outskirts of Broadclyst Village, near Exeter, Devon, the farm forms part of the broader Killerton Estate.
The Farm is co-designed with and substantially led by the people whose needs it aims to support. The atmosphere is always friendly, positive and relaxed. We provide a sense of community, which helps support disadvantaged people in leading more fulfilling and independent lives.
