SUMMARY:If Trees Could Talk: Entrepreneurs\, Creative and Green
DESCRIPTION:How are creatives changing our relationship to the environment through commerce? How are they making space in our economy for their work and messages? \nRachel and Matt Hayes are the architect founders of Folia Architects\, an award-winning practice focussed on sustainable design and certified Passivhaus buildings. They emphasise natural materials and timber construction in bespoke new build homes\, eco-friendly barn conversions and collaborative community spaces that connect to their landscape. \nTim Craven founded The Arborealists artists’ collective (40 exhibitions and 9 publications to date) in 2013. He trained in fine art and Conservation\, and has worked in Conservation\, Collection Management\, and as a Curator. His artworks are held in gallery and private collections worldwide. \nThis is one of five talks in June and July at Ashburton Arts Centre which form part of If Trees Could Talk Devon 2026 International Art Biennale in conjunction with Significant Seams here in Devon\, and the Tuvmboa-Tunmba Children’s Museum of Philippine Art\, Batangas\, Philippines. \nSee iftreescouldtalk.art and significantseams.org.uk\nAll five events are listed at wegottickets.com/IfTreesCouldTalk2026 \nAshburton Arts Centre\nAlways three prices – please pay what you can. Pay less\, come to more!
