SUMMARY:Broadclyst Repair Café
DESCRIPTION:Our second ever repair café for Broadclyst Parish will be held on Saturday 28th March 2026\, 10am–12pm\, at Westclyst Primary School\, Maddick Road\, Westclyst\, EX1 3YG. \nWhat We Can Repair\n– Simple jewellery repairs and identification\n– Apple tech issues\n– Hand and machine sewing\n– Small electrical items\n– Toys\n– Kids’ bikes\n– Gardening and tool advice (no sharpening) \nOur volunteers can also offer guidance on tricky tech problems. If an item can’t be repaired\, we’ll help advise on next steps. \nPlease note: we cannot repair items containing lithium polymer batteries due to fire risk. \nRelax with tea\, coffee\, cake\, and good company while you wait. Homemade cakes include gluten-free and vegan options. \nA voluntary £5 donation is welcome (but not essential) to help cover costs and keep the café sustainable. We’re very excited and can’t wait to see what items get brought along. \nSo far we can repair\, small electrical items\, do sewing repairs\, help you with Apple software issues\, and repair toys. We can’t promise that we can fix everything you bring\, but we will do our very best. \nThe National Trust Killerton are lending us a Ranger\, they can give advice on planting up a space\, they can mend all sorts of things.

SUMMARY:Broadclyst Autumn Community Litter Pick Events
DESCRIPTION:This autumn\, the Broadclyst Environment Group will be holding three community litter picks across the parish\, inviting residents of all ages to get involved in helping keep the area clean and green. \nThe events will also be the first outing for the group’s brand-new litter picking equipment\, made possible thanks to a generous grant from Broadclyst Parish Council. The new kit includes: \n– Litter pickers in adult and child sizes\n– High-visibility jackets for all ages\n– Litter bag hoops\n– First aid kits \nThe group will also be using its existing supply of heavy-duty gloves and bin bags. \nEveryone is welcome to join in — it’s a great way to support the local environment and meet others in the community. \nEvent details: \nWestclyst: 2pm – 3.30pm on Saturday 25th October 2025. Meet at the Swale in Hillside Gardens (what3words: puzzle.sizes.bother).\nTithebarn: 10am – 11.30am on Sunday 26th October 2025.
