Meet the team
We work for Resource Futures, an independent environmental sustainability company, and accredited B-Corp, working to minimise the impact of consumption on the environment now and in the future.
The CAG Devon project is run by a small team of dedicated part-time staff, supported by a team of specialists from Resources Future’s head office.
Helen Vines – CAG Devon Project Manager
Helen has worked for 25 years, supporting community groups to tackle social, local economic and environmental priorities in their localities, as a community development worker and social enterprise business advisor. She has a BA in Geography, and Community and Youth Studies, and an Msc in Landscape Ecology, Design and Management. Her best summer ever was volunteering at Cape Cod National Seashore!
Helping organisations to measure the difference they make, aka their ‘social impact’, Helen worked in the UK and also with the British Council Social Enterprise team in Turkey, Malta, Greece and India. She is constantly inspired by the passion and values of the organisations she gets to work with, who seek to make the world a better place at a local or global level.
Helen (with her VINESWORKS hat on) is also an associate trainer for NCVO and School for Social Entrepreneurs.
Lucinda Brook – CAG Devon Project Director
Lucinda, or Lu as she’s known, combines more than 20 years of strategic communications experience with an MSc in Sustainable Development in Practice. As Project Director, Lu’s focus is to support the sustainable development of the Community Action Groups (CAG) network – including diversifying funding streams – to help springboard the incredible (and constantly evolving) array of community-led climate change action the CAG network has generated.
At Resource Futures, Lu’s role spans behaviour change and the circular economy, working with business, communities and the public sector to tackle systemic sustainability challenges such as resource efficiency, plastic pollution and the climate emergency.
